Terms & Conditions, Insurance & Cancellation Policy
School of Sensual Massage (a subsidiary of MATTERS OF INTIMACY LTD).

By booking any course, training, workshop, or appointment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions, along with our Privacy Notice.
2. Bookings & Participation
Bookings may be made via the website, email, telephone, messaging, or online booking systems. Courses and training programmes range from short workshops (2–3 hours) to full professional training programmes (up to 26 hours). Upon booking, you will receive confirmation details and relevant pre-course requirements.
Consent Requirements
Participants may be required to complete a Consent Authorisation & Request (CAR) Form prior to attendance. Failure to complete required documentation in advance may result in reduced training time or refusal of participation.
3. Deposits & Payment Terms
Courses & Training
- A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place.
- The remaining balance is due 24 hours before the course start date.
- Your place is not guaranteed until the deposit has been received.
4. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
More than 72 Hours' Notice
If you cancel at least 72 hours before your course start date, you may either:
- Receive a 75% refund of your deposit, or
- Transfer your booking to a new course date within 12 weeks.
If the rescheduled training is not taken within this period, the deposit is forfeited.
2–3 Days Before Start Date
Deposits may be transferred only if:
- A new start date is agreed within 7 days, AND
- The new course begins within 12 weeks.
Failure to meet these conditions will result in loss of deposit.
Within 24 Hours / Non-Attendance
- Full deposit is forfeited.
- No refunds or transfers will be offered.
Missed Modules
Failure to attend a scheduled module without 24 hours' notice:
- That module is non-repeatable.
- No refund or credit will be issued.
5. Pausing Training
Once training has commenced, your place remains allocated to you. If exceptional circumstances arise (e.g. illness, injury, bereavement), you may request to pause your training:
- Requests must be made in writing.
- Supporting evidence may be required.
- Approval is at the discretion of School of Sensual Massage.
If approved, training must be completed within 12 months of the original start date.
6. Withdrawal from Training
If you withdraw after training has commenced, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
7. Exceptional Circumstances
In genuine cases such as serious illness, bereavement, or significant life events, we will always aim to act fairly and reasonably, where appropriate evidence is provided.

9. Attendance & Late Arrival
- Training sessions begin and end at scheduled times.
- Late arrival may result in loss of training time, which cannot be extended.
- Early departure does not qualify for refunds or rescheduling.
10. Confidentiality
All personal information and participation details are treated as strictly confidential.
- Information will not be shared without consent unless required by law.
- Appropriate security measures are in place to protect your data.
- Records are retained only as long as necessary under legal obligations.
11. Health, Safety & Conduct
Professional Standards
All training is delivered in a professional, respectful, and structured educational environment.
Participant Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Maintain appropriate personal hygiene.
- Attend in a fit and healthy condition.
- Provide accurate medical and personal information.
Non-Attendance Due to Illness
Participants who are unwell should not attend and must notify us as early as possible. Standard cancellation terms may still apply.
Behaviour Policy
We reserve the right to refuse participation, remove individuals from training, or terminate sessions without refund in cases of:
- Aggressive or abusive behaviour.
- Breach of boundaries or consent.
- Disruptive or inappropriate conduct.
Substances
Attendance under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs is strictly prohibited.
12. Medical Disclaimer
All training and bodywork education provided by School of Sensual Massage:
- Is educational and experiential in nature.
- Does not constitute medical or clinical treatment.
- Is not a substitute for professional healthcare.
We do not diagnose medical conditions or prescribe medication. Participants should consult a qualified medical professional where appropriate.
13. Insurance Cover
Training and services are covered under Civil Liability Insurance, including:
- Professional Indemnity
- Public Liability
- Product Liability
Held with BGi Insurance / Markel. Covered activities include therapeutic massage, sensual massage education and training, counselling and psychosexual education, NLP, hypnosis, and Imago-based work.
14. Assumption of Responsibility
Due to the nature of experiential bodywork training, participants acknowledge that:
- Some elements may involve close physical proximity and guided touch-based learning.
- Participation is undertaken voluntarily and at your own discretion.
- You remain responsible for your personal boundaries and wellbeing at all times.
Formal consent procedures are required where applicable.
15. Personal Property
We do not accept responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings during attendance.
